Lynmouth - May 2011

We were going to the Lakes this weekend but we saw the weather forecast and went south instead. We camped at the wonderful Channel View campsite near Lynmouth and put the tents up in what felt like a gale. A couple of days later we took them down in rain and a gale. On Friday we walked to the Valley of the Rocks (9.8 km - 6.1 miles) and on Saturday we did a circular walk via Watersmeet, Rockford, Countisbury Hill and Lynton, then back to the camp site (18.8 km - 11.8 miles with 1155 metres - 3790 feet of ascent).
